River Dawki ride

Trip to river Dawki in Meghalaya is worth to visit. Anywhere one goes in this state specially the Jaintia hill district brings utmost scenic joy. Boat ride in dawki is a magnetic pull for which crowds throng this place every year. The clean and crystal river water gives a perfect view of the river bed which is green to turquoise in colour. The small boat which is similar to dinghy takes you across the green river for about an hour.

Nartiang - a monolithic park

Meghalaya in the Northeast of India has always been a mesmerizing treasure house to quench thirst of wanderlust

travelers. I have been lucky enough to see and experience the immaculate charm of this place.

Besides, few well known towns name of Nartiang catches attention.

A few hours of drive from Shillong it is a beautiful day tour anyone could ask for. The drive itself is so breathtaking that it takes you to some  travel show on television set in Scottish highlands.

Here nature seems to have decked and groomed herself on her own. Magnificent background of the drive take us finally to nartiang. A very small yet well organised town. Most of the houses as well as the streets are solar enabled and very colorful. 

Crossing the main town we ended up visiting the biggest monolithic and megalithic era park. big single boulder rock standing tall. Few Dolmen are noticeable. Park is very beautifully preserved and is a prehistoric era homage ground.

Nestled in Jaintia hill a visit to Ma Jayantee temple near nartiang is wonderful. 

Meghalaya is a charming and breathtaking place in Northeast where any traveler is bound to visit once again.
